Ingredients

Dijon mustard, maple syrup, tahini, apple cider vinegar and salt and pepper in small bowls. Each ingredient is labelled with text.

This list is not complete. Please see the recipe card at the end of the post for the complete ingredient list with measurements and detailed instructions.

  • Maple Syrup: Being a maple dijon dressing, maple syrup is used to sweeten but you could also use honey (wouldn’t be vegan) or agave syrup. For sugar-free dressing, you could use liquid monk fruit sweetener.
  • Dijon Mustard: Any style of dijon mustard or a grainy mustard works.
  • Apple Cider Vinegar: You can use apple cider vinegar, white wine vinegar or red wine vinegar. Balsamic vinegar and lemon juice are also good for a variation on this recipe.
  • Tahini: Tahini is a paste made from sesame seeds and easy to find in well-stocked grocery stores or Middle Easter or Mediterranean specialty stores. I like Soom and Arz Fine Foods. Good tahini should be smooth, creamy and not overly bitter.

One of many comments from my (non plant based) family at our Father’s day dinner yesterday …

“Mom, this dressing is seriously amazing! You need to bottle it and sell it!”

Hands down my favorite vinaigrette! Love that thereโ€™s no oil and Iโ€™ve never see both apple cider vinegar and changed to t out with balsamic. Both great. Just put it on my farro, apple, fennel salad. It hold up so weโ€™ll in the fridge with grains.ย
