One of the products I use to create daily calm in my life, is Natural Calm by Natural Vitality. I am absolutely in love with this product and it’s become a key part of my evening routine. I decided to share the Chocolate Chia Smoothie on the blog today because:
- I love chia seeds and they’re great source of omega- 3’s, fiber and magnesium, and
- it’s chocolate and I think balanced living means never saying no to something chocolate!
This magnesium-rich smoothie gets it’s magnesium from 3 nutritious sources: Natural Calm, raw cacao powder and chia seeds. It’s rich, chocolatey, thick, creamy and perfectly sweet thanks to the frozen banana.
To make this recipe extra creamy and delicious, make sure you use frozen banana then add a nut butter of your choice. Peanut, almond or cashew butter would all be excellent choices!Print
Chocolate Chia Smoothie
- Prep Time: 5 mins
- Total Time: 5 mins
- Yield: 1
- Mix chia seeds with milk and Natural Calm.
- Let sit for 10 – 15 minutes to allow the chia seeds to absorb some of the liquid.
- Add the chia mixture to a blender, along with the cocoa powder, frozen banana, and nut butter (if using).
- Blend until smooth.
