Easy Creamy Vegan Mocha
This easy vegan mocha is made with chocolate chips and cocoa powder for an extra creamy, decadent drink.
To make these, simply whip up a small-batch of hot cocoa then froth and pour over your favourite coffee. Top with coconut whip cream and chocolate sauce for a special treat.

Description
Love chocolate and coffee together? You’ll love this rich and creamy vegan mocha. Whisk up the chocolate, add to your favourite coffee and enjoy!
Ingredients
- 1 cup unsweetened almond milk or other plant-based milk
- 3 tbsp dairy-free chocolate chips
- 1/4 tsp vanilla
- 1 tbsp cocoa powder
- 2 tsp raw sugar, maple syrup or coconut sugar (or sweeten to taste with stevia)
- brewed coffee
Instructions
- To make the hot cocoa, add the almond milk, chcoolate chips, vanilla, cocoa powder and sugar to a small sauce pan and whisk until combined and creamy.
- Once it’s all melted together, froth it by using a milk frother or placing it in a blender on high for 30 seconds.
- To make the mocha, fill 2 mugs about 1/2-2/3 of the way with coffee then top with the frothy hot cocoa.
For me, the most difficult part of making something like this is ratios. This recipe gets the perfect amount of dark chocolate flavor, a hint of vanilla that is just right and creaminess. I am sure if you used a thicker milk than I did (I used oat milk) it would be even creamier, but I’m not a fan of coconut milk really. For those wondering, I used honey to sweeten this and for me 2 tablespoons was not enough but enough for my hubs. But I like things sweeter. So I added another splash of honey in after all was assembled and stirred and voila. Easy to make, the right measurements and, in the end, tastes delicious. Thanks!

I’ve been looking for a really good vegan mocha latte and i came across this and Brittflix’s video on how to make one. Both are sooo good. i personally think this recipe is thinner and silkier but her’s is definitely creamier and rich and I can’t tell which recipe I prefer. Guys you should definitely try them both.
